UPDATE TO THE PLAYGROUND......
Things are starting to come together with the playground.
We at WDDS would like to acknowledge everyone who has been so generous in helping us make this dream a reality.
Huge thank you to the following....
*Eddie Settle and also The Health Foundation for grants and funds to buy new equipment, including a slide structure, a shade, a new wheelchair accessible sandbox, an inclusive swing, tricycles and more.
*The Partnership for Children for a donation of borders, rubberized mulch, and garden bed materials.
*Lowe's Hardware and their employees for donations of time, manpower, rubberized mulch, a 10x14 utility building, and other materials, including sensory gardens.
*Wilkes County Schools for their donation of manpower to put it all together.
*Andrew Carlton and the Town of Wilkesboro for their time invested in planning.
Thank you to the families, children, and our staff for your patience in the time it has taken to make this happen.

In an effort to better serve our children we are raising funds for a new playground.
As of now we have raised $53,500 toward this $150,000 project. We are working on grants and asking for donors to help with this project. If you or your organization would like to be a part of this exciting opportunity please contact the school at 336-838-3119.
