Wilkes Developmental Day School has been a 5 Star facility for 21 years.

The Health Foundation has awarded WDDS grants to help our school with projects to make us successful in our mission.

We have been awarded the Challenge Grant for the past 6 years among other grants in past years. We are thankful to them.

The Health Foundation works with others to make Wilkes County a healthier place to live, work and worship. 

WDDS has had its NAEYC Accreditation for 15 years which puts our school in the top 10 in the nation providing best practice in serving children and their families.

Wilkes Developmental Day School is  a REACH recognized ECE program in the area of Farm to Early Childcare Education. 

Wilkes Developmental Day School is a United Way Agency.

WDDS is 1 of 3 Breastfeeding Friendly Sites with 5 Stars in North Carolina.

WDDS is 1 of 27 Breastfeeding Friendly Sites with 1-5 Stars in North Carolina.

Every staff member at WDDS is trained in Darkness to Light and the school is certified as a Partner in Prevention to create a safe place for children and help prevent child abuse.
