ENROLLMENT

Applications must be obtained and returned to Wilkes Developmental Day School.  Enrollment applications can be picked up at the school or printed from the link below.

Children's names are placed on the waiting list and as vacancies occur the parent of the next child will be contacted.  This is dependent of the age of the child needed to fill the vacancy.  Priority is given to children with special needs, regardless of income.  Second priority will be given to subsidized children and siblings of children already enrolled.  Third priority will be given to private paying children.

Prior to a child's attendance at the school, an official enrollment conference will be held at the school or in the home, with the parent and school staff.  During this conference, program and school policies and procedures will be discussed, and all necessary forms will be completed.

The child with one or both parents (or guardian) must visit the school before admission can take place. 

Parent involvement is strongly encouraged.
